Family comedy show with OLAF FALAFEL
Join comedian and children’s author Olaf Falafel for an hour of really stupid kids' comedy plus a drawing lesson and possibly something that involves fishing, ducks, bumbags and sausages. Family-friendly frivolity that will leave you feeling a lot less intelligent than when you walked in.

Olaf Falafel is surrealist comedian, children’s book author/illustrator and holder of the Funniest Joke of The Edinburgh Festival. As well as being a stand up comedian, Olaf is also the author and illustrator of several kids books and has also enjoyed online fame with his short viral videos. Olaf has been affectionately described as ‘an idiot’ and when he doesn’t have a microphone in his hand you’ll probably find him with a pencil and pad trying to draw something equally idiotic.

Audrey Dowling is a French artist and illustrator living in County Kilkenny. She initially pursued a career in the fashion industry in Paris but somehow ended up in the Irish countryside. Her surroundings inspire her work, as well as folklore from all cultures, fairy tales and vintage imagery. Her universe is colourful and narrative, often praised as graceful and poetic.

Tatyana Feeney grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She studied History of Art at the University of North Carolina and Design at the Art Institute of Atlanta before getting a BA in Illustration for Children's Publishing from NEWI in Wales. She has illustrated several books with Irish publishers, including three in the Irish language. Tatyana lives in Trim, County Meath with her husband, two children, and small dog.

This fun workshop will introduce children to the themes in Joy's Playground children's book, such as mindfulness, gratitude and self-belief. Good coping skills for life. The characters demonstrate how to be in the moment by using mindful breathing and the five senses all while going on a fun adventure.

Puppet show with MOON & SIXPENCE
The festival show is a cheeky version of “Red Riding Hood”, featuring the classic fairy-tale characters and a talking dustbin, who encourages children to pick up litter. This string puppet production includes a moral in the tale, showing the importance of patience and friendship. The show, lasting fifty minutes, is performed live with music and sound effects and draws plenty of audience participation, as much from adults as from children and although it is aimed at children, there is some aside-comedy for parents!

The Moon and Sixpence Puppet Theatre is Ireland’s only travelling marionette (string puppet) theatre. Specialising in providing performances to Primary Schools across Ireland, as well as performing in libraries, at festivals and for corporate events.

Tom McLaughlin is an author illustrator from Devon. He has been a political cartoonist, an animation designer for TV shows, as well as an occasional columnist. He started in the world of children’s publishing by illustrating other people’s books before turning his hand to writing. His books have been nominated for countless awards and have been translated into over 10 different languages. He lives in Exeter with his wife and children and can often be found staring out of a window with a cup of tea.
