Shona Shirley Macdonald
Shona Shirley Macdonald is an award-winning children’s book illustrator/author, living in County Waterford. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at the Bratislava Illustration Biennial. Her books include The Pooka Party, and The Moon Spun Round by W. B. Yeats (editor Noreen Doody), Cluasa Capaill ar an Rí (scríobhneoir Bridget Bhreathnach). Most recently she illustrated Girls Who Slay Monsters, (writer Ellen Ryan) which won the Children’s (Senior) An Post Book of the Year Award 2022 and the KPMG Junior Jury and Book of the Year Awards 2023.

Jo Hennessy, Barnstorm's Participation & Education Officer, has an extensive background in Drama Teaching and Education at both secondary and primary level. Jo is a trained actor and director who is passionate about bringing theatre to different facets of the community. Jo strives to develop new connections and community-based initiates and relationships.

Sarah Sloyer is originally from the United States and moved to Ireland in 2018 to work as a Background Artist at Lighthouse Studios in Kilkenny. She has studied Illustration and Animation and loves to draw cute characters with fun personalities!
